All Bulls, all the time

Bulls trade rumors: Brad Miller or Spencer Hawes?

According to the Sacramento Bee, the Chicago Bulls were in trade talks with the Sacramento Kings earlier this season.

Spencer Hawes to the Bulls? One trade that was apparently discussed would have sent guard Larry Hughes over to the Kings in exchange for center Brad Miller, a former Bull.

The Bulls are reported to have more interest in the Kings younger big man Spencer Hawes, who has shown himself to be a solid talent this season.

It remains to be seen whether the Bulls would be willing to deal Drew Gooden and/or Joakim Noah or Tyrus Thomas.

I'd rather see the Bulls deal for Spencer Hawes, and would be fine seeing Drew Gooden and/or Joakim Noah go.

Despite his inconsistency, Thomas still seems worth holding on to.  His recent good play makes it even tougher to stomach the thought of losing him.

I don't think it would be wise for the Bulls to trade Noah, Gooden, or Thomas. Many people do not see the worth in Joakim, but he is valuable. He brought a whole other energy to the Bulls when he went to Chicago. Not only does he provide personality and fun, but he provides size as well (which they are in need of). I am confident that with more practice and dedication, he can become a difference maker. As for Gooden, he is a veteran, and the Baby Bulls need someone with that experience and someone who can set an example. Thomas is a good player as well, he blocks like crazy, he provides size and he hussles in the game. I think if anyone should be traded, it's Larry Hughes. He is someone who wants to be the star of a team and I don't think that is going to happen in Chicago for him. It would be hard for me to see Noah, Gooden, or Thomas leave.

Would the Kings be willing to part ways with Hawes? I am all for it, If the Bulls could aquire him? What would it take?

Well to be honest with you i dont think they are going to go through with this trade at all. The bulls are starting to have some must needed sucess with all three players. They should just throw hunter, gray, an hughes if it is possible.

I'm all for getting Hawes, but I don't see much reason to acquire Miller at this point in his career. He's not much of a back-to-the-basket player anyways, which is what the Bulls need. Unfortunately, I don't see the Kings dealing Hawes unless it's just to get expiring contracts for the 2010 free agent splurge. If I'm not mistaken, Gooden comes off the books after this season while Hughes has another year on his contract. But in a trade, the salaries will likely have to match up, meaning Miller would almost have to be involved. Boy, I wish they wanted to deal Kevin Martin! He would look GREAT next to Rose.

I think this was a good trade for the bulls. Their team has been a major disappointment this season. Del Negro has to go.
